ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Residents.
•Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks.
•Communicates chemical, supply and equipment need to the Housekeeping Lead.
•Maintains required records; uses Maintenance Request Log appropriately.
•Familiarizes self with cleaning schedules of Residents’ apartments and common areas to assure completion of housekeeping tasks.
•Performs housekeeping, janitorial tasks and minor repairs as assigned.
•Assures that other janitorial and repair requests are properly logged and monitors their completion.
•Provides laundry services as needed and/or directed.
•Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
•Observes problems, concerns and issues observed with Resident units, the community and the grounds and communicates them appropriately.
•Observes changes in Resident status, needs or preferences and communicates them appropriately.
•Observes other problems and communicates them appropriately.
•Observes all work, safety, and administrative rules.
•Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
•Records Resident information as required.
•Avoids loss, breakage and waste of supplies and equipment.
•Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergencies.
•Associate should perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Highlights of the Housekeeping Position:

• A minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in hospitality, hotels, or senior living (preferred)
• Must be able to climb, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, reach and carry, stand for extended periods of time and may be required to move furniture.
